Bob Spicer

The 2007 close season saw the untimely death of our longstanding President, Bob Spicer. Obituaries and tributes occupied many column inches in the Surrey Advertiser and Haslemere Herald and each recorded Bob's dedication to and passion for Sport and his family.

As President of Chiddingfold CC, Bob spent many years encouraging and helping the club to develop to its current position and those who worked with him and shared his passion to develop Chiddingfold CC still further be it on the Committee or as part of the club in general will all miss him and his contribution.

Website Updates

A new season has begun..... and what a blazing start we have made!!! Played two, lost two. Oh before we go any further, we seem to have lost our middle order - If anyone has got it or knows of it's where-abouts, please could you send it to our next game c/o Our Batting Order. The club has been very upset as it has been missing now for two weeks running. Sorry for the delay in recent updates, but now everything has been sorted (i.e. now I've pulled my finger out!) It'll be business as usual here at CCC Web-Quarters! Also thank you to all those who have given their full support to the websites development by constantly harrassing it's Editor (by abusive emails and phone calls) regarding updates. "Ere, Castle You Are A Nipper" Anyway, here's to the rest of the season (more wins and a lot less rain).

Nets are now to take place every Thursday at the ground from 7.00pm. Wouldn't it be nice to see lots of people there for the first session, and then every week thereafter!!!

Ring Nick Harman for further details

Glusburn Weekend - 2004

A reminder that this year we will be making our bi-annual pilgrimage to West Yorkshire, over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. Glusburn CC have just had a brand new pavillion built, and would really like to celebrate in style over the 'Festival' weekend - so lets take a good sized crowd up there to help them celebrate (oh, and to make sure they don't get that Cup back!!)
